Download PDF When Did Sin Begin eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. The question of the "historical Adam" is a flashpoint for many evangelical readers and churches. Science-and-theology scholar Loren Haarsma--who has studied, written, and spoken on science and faith for decades--shows it is possible both to affirm what science tells us about human evolution and to maintain belief in the doctrine of original sin. Haarsma argues that there are several possible ways of harmonizing evolution and original sin, taking seriously both Scripture and science. He presents a range of approaches without privileging one over the others, examining the strengths and challenges of each.

Download PDF The Fall Of Satan eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. The ruler of darkness? the Tempter? the Great Red Dragon? Apollyon; the Destroyer? One being is revealed to have all these titles and more - names that reveal his horrific nature? All names given to Satan, your adversary who comes like a lion "seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). Today, many question and even mock the very existence of Satan, as well as the reality of evil. Even in the Church, by and large, there are few biblical resources on the subject to counter the destructive claims raised in today's humanistic culture. In The Fall of Satan: Rebels in the Garden you will discover the answers to 35 captivating questions, such as: How could one created good become so absorbed by evil? Why would God, who is not evil, allow evil to continue to exist? Did sin begin with Adam or was its origin found in Satan? When did Satan rebel against God's authority? Where can the answers be found to such provocative, spiritual questions that have been asked so many times over? Carefully consider the biblical response, since it is the only completely reliable foundation for information about Satan. As our absolute authority, we must reject unqualified conclusions drawn from sources outside the Bible, such as the current ideas and traditions of the culture. No believer should be unaware of these sound answers found in the Bible.

Book Description
Download PDF Original Blessing eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. Of the worldÕs three major religions, only Christianity holds to a doctrine of original sin. Ideas are powerful, and they shape who we are and who we become. The fact that many Christians believe there is something in human nature that is, and will always be, contrary to God, is not just a problem but a tragedy. So why do the doctrineÕs assumptions of human nature so infiltrate our pulpits, sermons, and theological bookshelves? How is it so misconstrued in times of grief, pastoral care, and personal shame? How did we fall so far from GodÕs original blessing in the garden to this pervasive belief in humanityÕs innate inability to do good? In this book, Danielle Shroyer takes readers through an overview of the historical development of the doctrine, pointing out important missteps and overcalculations, and providing alternative ways to approach often-used Scriptures. Throughout, she brings the primary claims of original sin to their untenable (and unbiblical) conclusions. In Original Blessing, she shows not only how we got this doctrine wrong, but how we can put sin back in its rightful place: in a broader context of redemption and the blessing of humanityÕs creation in the image of God.

Book Description
Download PDF Why Can T We See God eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. If there is a God and He loves us like the Bible tells us, then why can’t we see, hear and touch him? Since we cannot see Him, does this mean that He wants to be distant or capricious, or wants to make things difficult for us? Of course, if we could see Him, then everyone would believe fully in God and probably be on their way to heaven. There would be no need whatsoever for faith, and probably no need for a Savior. Who would sin standing in the visible presence of God? Adam and Eve did choose to sin, but God was not visibly with them at the time, and they also had not yet realized the full consequences of sin. In this book we will explore what God designed and intended for humankind, and what caused Him to become invisible, and why. My hope is that for many this will give a better understanding of God, His unfailing love for us, and why things are the way they are. I pray it also brings some comfort in life’s often difficult journey that requires such an exercise of faith. We will do this by looking at the words of God, himself. In my life I have heard many teachings about the temptation and fall of man, and many times studied the scriptures concerning Eden. One day a few years ago God revealed to me something new and profound I had never noticed. There is no doubt the living Word and the Holy Spirit are famous for that, but this one blew me away. God will very soon reveal Himself to all whether we like it or not. Millions of Christians and Bible scholars worldwide agree that that all the necessary prophecies have been fulfilled and the signs of the return of Christ are undeniably upon us. But until the day Christ returns for His Church, let us see if God gave us any clues as to why we can’t see Him, and explore the origin and necessity of faith.

Download PDF Tenderness Kindness Forgiveness eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. The story is about experiencing the world for almost eighty years and finally a love affair, with God whom I trust, you may have too. Each day, as I would kiss my children on the top of their heads, taking in the sweet smell of their hair, I would envision kissing and smelling the beautiful head of God. I especially experienced this sensation with our youngest son, Michael, until the last day he was with us. I wasn’t angry with God when Michael, our youngest son was taken from Barbara and me. I always knew we belong to God, and especially our children are, without a question, on loan to us. We are all on loan, and hopefully, we will someday be together with the Savior of humanity and His creatures. My aim about writing about events happening before and after Michael’s death made me wonder if angels surrounded us to help ease the terrible pain that could have overwhelmed us. Was it my sins that caused this horrible pain to be initiated on Barbara and me? No, my sins were forgiven long ago through Jesus Christ. Michael, as each of us, are challenged living in a world full of sin and death. How did we get ourselves into this predicament of having to live in a world of sin? The cause came from our first parents, Adam and Eve, who did not appreciate the gift that was given to them in paradise to live a heavenly life. Adam and Eve sinned and were cast out of the paradise garden into the world to experience for themselves the hardships of not being completely with God. I think presently, it is our human nature not to appreciate the gifts we have already in front of us and in our hearts. Often after many people experience feverish hardships in the world, they may begin to understand God’s way is the absolute way to internal happiness. The world isn’t capable of offering us internal happiness, but we may find those gifts already inside us to discover. Are we like Adam and Eve? Yes, we are quite alike in that we are living in a world that can glamorize and only offer sin. However, to break away from that world of sin, all we need to do is ask God. This book had seeds planted from the 1970s when Barbara and I questioned each other about how to make a better world. Barbara said, “We convert the world one person at a time.” And I said, “No, it will take too long, we don’t have time. There has got to be another way.”

"Chicago Tribune" Novelist, cultural critic, and former priest James Carroll marries history with memoir as he maps the two-thousand-year course of the Church s battle against Judaism and faces the crisis of faith it has sparked in his own life. Fascinating, brave, and sometimes infuriating ("Time"), this dark history is more than a chronicle of religion. It is the central tragedy of Western civilization, its fault lines reaching deep into our culture to create a deeply felt work ("San Francisco Chronicle") as Carroll wrangles with centuries of strife and tragedy to reach a courageous and affecting reckoning with difficult truths."

Download PDF Thoughts On The Origin Evolution Of Evil eBook. You can read online on your kindle, Android, iPhone, iPad. Vanquishing Evil Through the Gospel Evil is all around us. The sin nature of humans is influenced by self-centeredness, arrogance, and the pursuit of selfish desires. Where did original evil begin? How did it manifest and manage to find its way into our innate human nature? While the disobedience of Adam and Eve is the way the Bible gives of sin entering humanity and the world God created, there was an earlier betrayal that changed the entire course of eternity. The Bible tells us, in multiple passages, about Satan's banishment from heaven. In Revelation 12:9, John sees a vision of what occurred: "The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." Join author Scott Leone as he explores the beginnings and progression of evil-and how God's solution of the gospel is the only way to obtain victory over sin and evil.

With startling effect, Lance Lambert reveals the symmetrical design evident throughout the Bible, including the fascinating relationship between Genesis and Revelation. The author uncovers a dimension of the Bible that most believers will surely find a new revelation. The author writes, “There is no truth that is of greater importance than this matter of God’s eternal purpose. Once you begin to understand God’s ultimate aim in time, and for the ages to come, life becomes more meaningful and signifi cant. Why did God create this universe and this earth, which at our present extent of knowledge is unique? What was His aim and goal in its creation? Why did He create mankind? And when man fell short of His glory through sin, why did He persevere and provide salvation? Is that salvation an end in itself, or is it a means to an end, with everything provided within it to reach the final goal? And how can I be involved in the fulfi llment of that purpose?” Answering these very questions, this passionate book will point you to a fresh and exciting understanding of what it truly means to be a Christian. It helps answer the ultimate question: What is the meaning of life?
